Why yes...

I'm a lazy bastard who sometimes doesn't post an update for weeks. Meh.

In the news, courtesy of totalfark links --
Darwin strikes again - A woman was balanced with one foot on a chair and one on a table, cleaning the celing with a mop. The catch is she was on her 36th floor balcony. Guess what happened next?

Watch for falling cows - In Great Britain, a woman sunbathing by the ocean was nearly hit by a cow that fell off a cliff. It's a good thing she mooooooved when she did. (I'm sorry.)

In personal news, my border to border west coast road trip is coming up soon. I'm flying into San Diego, renting a car and, 16 days later, flying out of Seattle. Much gawking at big trees, tromping around on mountains, staring at big lakes, quaffing of delicious micrbrews, and assorted other shenanigans will ensue.

Finally, for yet another bogus health craze to be avoided, read up on the ever popular detox diets.
Here's a link to a Mayo clinic provided article about detox diets. In short, there's no evidence that they "detox" you at all and there's no evidence that the body needs or benefits from a detox regimen. The human body is actually really good at disposing of the everyday toxins that most of us encounter. You know those organs called the liver and the kidneys? They work. Don't waste your money.
