Biggest douche in the universe contender still writing

No, not TV psychic John Edwards... I'm talking about huge douche Kevin Trudeau again. He's written another "Natural Cures" book. I guess it's time to swindle more desperate, sick people out of money again with worthless medical advice. By taking to heart his garbage suggestions and his paranoia about much of conventional medicine, some people will choose not to get the real help they need. This man should be bankrupted and his money paid out to the countless people his blatantly false medical advice has harmed over the years. Preferably he should also be in jail, but I shouldn't get my hopes that high.

You're right, he is a contender for biggest douche in the universe. But isn't it kind of Darwin at work, that people actually go for it? He keeps writing this crap because people keep buying and believing it, and that makes it all the more sad...

Well, I have little sympathy for the healthy people believing his crap and wasting money on it. But I feel bad for those with serious illnesses who buy into it. They can become understandably desperate and a scam artist is taking advantage of them.

Desparation is not an excuse for stupidity :-P Yeah, he should be run out of buisness, but I think it's sad that he managed to be in buisness in the first place!

These natural cures are actually great, as a complimentary medicine. I knew a lady who decided to treat her breast cancer with acupuncture and herbal supplements. I think that's great, if it makes you feel better while going through the western medical treatments, more power to you! But if you rely soley on the non-traditional stuff, I have very little sympathy when the cancer continues to spread. This lady decided to go for radiation after a few months of the tumor growing, by the way.

Bogus treatments that don't do anything and cost you money are not great, even as complimentary medicine. It also fosters the incorrect belief that "natural" equals good and anything else equals bad. Purveyors of supplements and phoney cures make billions a year off this belief. People thinking these supposed remedies are useful is why even reputable drug stores are full of this crap. Sick people can often ill afford the additional expenses.

Don't underestimate desperation. If they are getting treatment, still feel awful, and don't feel like they're getting the answers they need from their doctors, it's easier to understand why they are sucked in by people like Trudeau. I read up on some pretty bizarre "medicine" myself when I was having some problems not nearly as severe as many people have. Fortunately I came to my senses before I actually went to a
crazy doctor.

I really need to market a "natural" remedy called Placebo.

Hemlock is natural. hmmm....
